Reef and Stream is India's first specialised aquascaping company....our core competence lies in creation of technically correct and aesthetically pleasing aquaria, in almost any shape, size and type. For the first time in India, we decided to try out aquaria on the aquatic "biotope" theme, wherein a biotope is a geographically distinct ecosystem, as in maybe, the Amazon River, or an Indo-Pacific coral reef. Our attempt is to recreate these biotopes for you in the most authentic manner possible, complete with the kind of flora and fauna unique to the biotope in question.
Our aquatic systems are closed systems where the water recirculates between a treatment plant and a tank, with all relevant physical, chemical and biological filtration principles incorporated in line. The nitrogen cycle is simulated perfectly, making the whole unit a complete eco-system, with as little external interference as possible. The level of required intervention differs based on trim level. The display tank itself could be glass (annealed, tempered or laminated, bent or straight) or acrylic (shapes like cylinders, and extra large tanks for example!!!), and we intergrate the same with the equipment, set up and decorate the tank as per chosen type or theme, release livestock, and also coordinate other agencies on site for the purpose of integration of the system on to the site.
We are backed by the experience of Abhik Mazumdar, who has spent decades in the hobby, and years in the high end of this business, and is a well known name, even as a consultant to government departments, and in the trade of aquaria, in India. Additionally, we have an experienced team of trained and qualified professionals, all of whom play their designated role depending on scale of work.
Our future, apart from quality aquaria for individual clients, is also in the public realm, whether for governments or corporates, and we welcome larger projects involving the use of water in any form for entertainment of the general public, or to enhance the ambience of hotels, resorts, corporates or any other space.
