Particularly catering to plants that need lower temperatures, choice of fish is a bit limited in this since not all fish tend to do well at these temperatures and the ones that do are not necessarily very vibrant in colour…few exceptions do exist, however, and more often than not this kind of aquarium, in spite of fish being ancillary to the theme rather than primary, is more stuning than a tropical planted display like Amazonian, East Asian or African planted set up. it is, however, very maintenance intensive, requires overhauls periodically, and major gardening, and so, is at its peak only periodically every year, for only half the time. Patrons have to be happy with the dynamism and change.
